South Molton Taxi Service was established in 1979, founded by Wayne and Tricia Hyde. The business started with only one taxi. Parsonage Lane has always been the setting for the company and the family home alike, with Tricia joining Wayne driving in-between raising their family. As their family grew, the business grew and developed too. Now with 21 employees and a fleet of 14 vehicles, South Molton Taxi Service has become a well-established part of the North Devon Community with a wide reputation in the local area as a trusted, friendly and reliable family business.

Wayne and Tricia decided to take a step back from the business in 2012 and appointed their eldest son George as Managing Director. Truly a family business, Verity Hyde and Daniel Hyde now have active roles within the company as part of the management team.
