Solar Computer Systems

Solar Computer Systems Limited has been established since April 2000. Originally funded by the PYBT ( Prince’s Youth Business Trust ). Set up by two brother’s Chris and John Hawkins, Solar is a rare breed of retailer within the IT Industry, run on a very basic idea, incorporating traditional system builds with attention to detail and forward thinking build techniques. At Solar we aim to build generic computer systems to out perform mass produced equivalent systems with longevity, reliability and upgradeability in mind. This is achieved by numerous hours of product research and testing of both hardware and software. In late 2005 John Hawkins left the company and Hugh Keegan was appointed the new Director. With his extensive knowledge of web design, and gaming peripherals he was the obvious choice. Hugh has been involved with several LAN gaming sessions and has pro formed with excellence including winning a Tachyon (Novalogic) event and being featured in PC Gamer and winning a UT Trophy in an Unreal Tournament LAN event, one of only 5 in the world. Both Hugh and Chris have been made members of gaming clans and build their systems with passion. Solar really is a company that builds systems for Gamers by Gamers.
