Based in central London, Smouha Karate School offers karate classes for kids (aged 5-17 yrs). Students are trained in the philosophy and style of traditional Shotokan karate. They are taught a variety of kumite techniques and katas. Smouha also offers regular grading for students so they can continue to develop and obtain higher level belts. The school has several British Open Champions and is associated with the Japan Karate Association (JKA) UK, and the Shotokan Karate Association UK (SKA UK).
Instruction is by Sensei Ahmed Galal who is a black belt, 5th Dan. Ahmed has won many national and international karate championships in both kumite and kata. He has trained in the traditional Shotokan karate style for over 25 years and has been an instructor for more than 15 years. Ahmed also holds a BA Hons Physical Education.
