SKMA Hapkido Martial Arts

SKMA Hapkido incorporates the study of all factors that affect the health of our bodies. The purpose of training is personal development and self-defence. Above all, the philosophy of the Korean Martial Arts is to harmoniously and simultaneously develop and discipline the mind, body and spirit.

We provide quality personal development training in Korean Martial Arts to include Hapkido, Taekwondo, Kumdo (Swordsmanship) and Women's self-defence. Our vast syllabus is beneficial and ideal for every one of all ages and abilities, and we offer flexible programmes which are specifically designed to cater for your needs. We have a strong affiliation with, and offer internationally recognised martial arts certifications from the Korea Hapkido Federation & the Korea Hapkido Total Federation and Kukkiwon (the World Taekwondo Federation Headquarters).

The SKMA started teaching Hapkido in Durham, UK in 1998 by establishing Durham University Hapkido Club. It opened schools in London in 2007 and reorganized its structure then. In addition to promoting Korean Martial Arts training within the UK, Europe and Korea, our instructors have held seminars and demonstrations across the world including in Australia, Germany, France, Poland, Croatia and Czech.
