Formed in 1988, SFS is a wholly owned subsidiary of Skipton Building Society (SBS) - the UK's 4th-largest building society. Established in 1853, the Society has been helping generations of members with their financial needs - predominantly mortgages and savings. SFS shares the same mutual ethos as SBS of putting clients' needs at the heart of our business.

As of 8 January 2015, we have over 119,000 clients nationally. SFS is one of the UK's largest financial advisory companies to be awarded Chartered Financial Planner status by the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII). The CII is widely-regarded as setting the benchmark for UK standards of competence and integrity in insurance and financial planning services.
