I set up Sit Down Chairs in 2006 after noticing that good quality furniture was going to waste, when it could have many years left if given some time and inspiration. I love anything unusual or quirky and decided Sit Down Chairs could be a way to combine my ideas and style with good quality craftsmanship. After finding that traditional upholstery and woodwork ensures furniture is given the care it needs I undertake all my projects with the upmost respect, paying attention to detail to give a new lease of life to a tired chair.

I also work in a very well established reputable furniture retailer that ensures I am up to date with the latest interior trends and designs. I can give advice and fabric recommendations to a piece of furniture that you already have or I do have some completed items looking for a new home! Alternatively I have a selection of fantastic chair frames and beautiful small wooden pieces that can be transformed to suit your style and home.
