We are also main stockists of the leading contact lens manufacturers of Ciba Vision (Premium Independent Partner), Johnson & Johnson, Coopervision and Bausch & Lomb.
Sightcare Opticians was established in 2002 to provide high quality eye care to the local community and to offer a wide range of spectacles, sunglasses and contact lenses. Sightcare Opticians has two practices, one in Brough and one in Willerby (previously known as John D Wells Opticians). James Macfie first qualified as a Dispensing Optician before going on to graduate from Glasgow Caledonian University in 2001 with first class honours degree in Optometry.
He completed his post graduate training in 2002 passing all the exams in the first sitting. In Brough we have onsite glazing facilities for the assembly of glasses and to carry out repairs. This is carried out by Barry Capes, our lab technician who has over 30 years of experience. The Willerby practice is supported by Anne Porteous, a qualified Dispensing Optician and manager, Emma Teale, a dispensing assistant and Jenny Rooms a receptionist.
