Sidegate Guesthouse was built in the 1940s as a private home, with the owners gradually converting and extending it into guest house accommodation over a twelve year period. It still retains its homely atmosphere, offering a very high standard of accommodation. We have just surpassed our first year and been awarded our own Gold Accolade and Certificate of Excellence from TripAdvisor.
The accommodation we provide at Sidegate Guesthouse, together with the quality of our breakfasts - and our aim to ensure that guests have the best possible stay - reflect the Gold Accolade we have received from Quality in Tourism. We're in the IP4 area of Ipswich, close to Ipswich NHS Hospital, Ipswich Nuffield Health Hospital, University College Suffolk, BT (Trinity Park), The Regent Theatre and Foxhall Stadium, within easy reach of Adastral Park (Route 66) and the town centre.
