Chris and Jill Howell bought Seaway as a very small insurance brokerage back in 1987. Prior to that they had both worked within the industry, Chris for 23 years on the life, investment and pensions side and Jill as secretary to a director of a major Lloyds brokerage.

Since 1987 Seaway has grown to offer a local approach to insurance throughout the UK, with clients in Scotland, Lancashire and Yorkshire, The Midlands where they lived and worked for some years, East Anglia, all around the London area and down to the South Coast. Then, across the country to Bristol, where they opened a branch office in Keynsham in 2007 and to their main offices in Torquay.
