Established in 1969 by Neil Salt, Saltmarine originated selling boats in the late Sixties and acquired their first car franchise in the early Eighties. In the late Nineties then started a massive expansion, building three new showrooms and five state-of-the-art workshops, this created the space to take on two new franchises, Ford and Hyundai, and to open a purpose-built Used Car Centre.

2004 saw the addition of the Honda franchise and, with an all new showroom, Saltmarine rapidly grew into one of Northern Ireland's foremost car dealerships, whilst retaining the family-run atmosphere. This development saw Saltmarine's sales figures soar and, with more satisfied customers, allowed them to expand even more with the objective of renovating the already well established site in years to come.
