As your wedding photographer, my photography is about honesty and truth. Your emotions and experiences should be recorded as they happen, ensuring the natural expressions are not impeded by overbearing stage management. Whether applied to wedding photography of family imagery, some set-ups have their place but following most shoots, clients have always gravitated towards the more documentary, reportage style images as they are simply more honest, emotive and authentic..
At weddings, by adopting a quiet and subtle approach, even down to the shoes I wear and cameras I use, the record of your day will be real. The wedding photographs I capture for you are of a guest’s-eye view of your special day and will be a beautiful aide-memoire for many happy years to come. Family portraiture normally takes one of two forms, the anniversary or family event, or the landmark generation photo, or a combination of the two. It is great to have an official record shot spanning the generations, but equally, that one-off shot, that moment of a an individual, a split second of emotion, where they are unaware of the camera, that's equally valuable and often triggers emotion and memory more effectively for the rest of the family.
