Route One is a multi-channel, multi-brand fashion retailer based in the West of England. Proud to be the home to over 450 brands, including Vans, DC, Adidas, Carhartt, Stussy, The Hundreds, Supra and Nike SB. Established in 1989, the company came from humble beginnings. It was formed by two entrepreneurs, who had become disillusioned with London city life and decided to get out, before they burnt out. They headed West and set up a warehouse in a terraced house in Southville Bristol, distributing action sports equipment.
Through many freezing winters, they were kept going by their passion and enthusiasm for action sports. They branched out into retail and after several false starts, the first Route One was opened in Bath. It combined an eclectic mix of action sports, gadgets, footwear and apparel. The name 'Route One' came from their commitment to sourcing products direct from the USA, Europe and the Far East.
