This RIBA award-winning building is dedicated to the display, debate and reflection of global diversity issues in the contemporary visual arts. The building houses two major project spaces, an education space, and the Stuart Hall Library.
David Adjaye OBE is one of Britain's leading contemporary architects. Born in Tanzania, his influences range from African art and architecture to contemporary art and music. A Sowei mask from Sierra Leone was the inspiration for the unusual lattice pattern that articulates the exterior of Rivington Place.
