I have lived in Berkhamsted for over 25 years and have 4 grown up children. I work as a midwife in Oxford carrying out research for the University into problems of pregnancy such as high blood pressure and small babies. As a clinical midwife many of the women who I looked after had used acupuncture prior to and / or during their pregnancies. I was so impressed by the effect acupuncture had on these women that it prompted me to find out more, and ultimately I decided to learn acupuncture myself.
Renying Acupuncture was founded by Hazel Meacher, an Acupuncturist and Midwife, in order that she could offer people an holistic treatment which restores and maintains good health and wellbeing.
The stresses and strains of our Western lifestyle can take their toll, this gentle and therapeutic treatment rebalances the body. Many people find the effects of Acupuncture to be more far reaching than they expected as the body and mind are rebalanced.
Built on the ground-breaking work of midwife, author and fertility and pregnancy expert Zita West and her renowned London clinic, the network aims to share the unique skills and experience of Zita and her team of doctors, midwives and complementary therapists, with experienced independent acupuncturists across the UK. Other health specialists (such as nutritionists, counsellors, midwives and doctors) will also be recruited to the network.
