Public Law

Public Law Solicitors (PLS) was founded in 2003 to provide a specialist legal service in the fields of public law, human rights and community care. We have recently expanded and now employ 6 solicitors. We are based in Birmingham and have a national profile for our specialism in Claimant judicial review and for the quality of our service. We are flexible in the way in which our service is provided and always endeavour to meet the needs of our clients. It is not always necessary to attend our offices; much of our work is carried out by email, telephone and fax. PLS has a contract with the Legal Services Commission (LSC) to provide publicly funded advice and representation in public law, community care, and housing law. We also hold a Specialist Support contract in community care law which enables us to provide advice to other solicitors and advisers. In addition, we undertake a significant body of privately funded work mainly for community groups.
