Pilates & Osteopathy

Pilates & Osteopathy
Our numerous Pilates classes are categorized at different skill levels so you'll be sure to find a class that suits your requirements. We keep our classes small, ensuring you get personal attention from our teachers as they guide you through your session. Our teachers work closely with our in-house osteopaths, sports massage therapists and other doctors and physiotherapists for those people requiring rehabilitation.

All our Pilates teachers have undergone an intensive training - most through Suzanne Scott, who was a founder member of the Pilates Foundation. Generally, training takes two and a half years to complete. We use an apprenticeship system of training, which means that you may have a second teacher assisting or observing your class. This teacher will be learning from the more experienced teacher. We call our more experienced teachers mentors and it is their job to guide the newer teachers at the early stages of their career. We also run a continued professional development programme of workshops and short courses, many of which are available for external teachers to attend.

The osteopaths are members of the General Osteopathic Council (GOsC). To be a member of GOsC and to legally call yourself an osteopath you must have undergone a rigorous four-year training process and continue to prove that you are worthy of the title 'osteopath' through additional learning.
