I believe piano lessons should be fun and inspiring so I teach a wide range of repertoire as well as playing by ear and improvisation. The most important thing for me is to create a positive teaching atmosphere where people feel relaxed and therefore able to learn. So everyone is given a warm welcome and put at ease from our very first meeting.
As well as playing the piano from a young age I have also worked through the exams with the London College of Music up to grade 8. I feel it is extremely important to improve my knowledge and keep up to date with current pedagogy (teaching) ideas so I can give my students the most meaningful musical experience.
I teach music theory from the very first lesson to ensure students have a full understanding of the music they are playing. I am absolutely passionate about sharing my love of music and playing the piano to both children and adults in a positive teaching atmosphere.
