I work in a former builder's store in Cambridge, with good road links via the A14 and M11. I have a wide range of machinery and tools, and believe in investing in new equipment in order to be more efficient and to produce work of higher quality. The latest big thing has been to get and train on 3D computer design technology, which has made a big difference to my presentation and accuracy.

Peter Harrison Furniture makes unique pieces of beautiful, handmade furniture in Cambridge. I have 25 years experience in designing and making furniture. I specialise in modern/ contemporary furniture, made from British, European and north American hardwoods. Previous clients include the Royal Geographical Society, Meridian Audio, Complete Fabrication Modelmakers, and a host of private clients.

I am as environmentally responsible as possible; I cycle to work most days; I use timber from countries with a good record of forest management; I use recycled or reused timber and fittings where available and appropriate; and I believe that if my furniture is well designed and built, it will last a long time (centuries, if looked after!), thereby saving future trees and energy.
