It's been a whole house job. On my first day, the builder had just finished the restructuring, the plasterer had completed his sections and the tiler was part done in the bathrooms and kitchen. Appliances had started to arrive and they were waiting in their plastic wrappers. Sadly, my final day is tomorrow, when I shall be painting the doors before handing back my key, so I will never see the fully finished house.

Make a design feature of any wall by adding a wall mural. You could add a tree with branches poking through a window, a boat gliding across a lake or a strong pattern in a frame - all painted directly onto the wall.
