Oswell's is a family name that dates back to co-owner Lisa Wilkinson's grandfather and uncle, who both ran hardware stores of the same name in Ashington, Northumberland. But it's not just the name that this current iteration of Oswell's has in common with its predecessors; the traditional values of high quality, great design and excellent customer service that Lisa's forebears valued so highly also lie at the heart of today's Oswell's. So whether it's the perfect card for that hard-to-buy-for occasion, the sort of book you don't find in your run of the mill high street book shop, or a unique limited edition print, it's well worth a visit to historic Barnard Castle and Oswell's.
