We are a small, family run, dog friendly (our resident basset hound, Phoebe, welcomes new and old friends!), hotel situated in Kingussie, in Badenoch and Strathspey, in the heart of the Highlands of Scotland. This region gained fame in the TV series, the "Monarch of the Glen". Kingussie is an ideal spot for day trips in any direction - Inverness (42 miles), Perth (70 miles), Ben Nevis and Fort William (48 miles) and the Moray Firth area, and a convenient stop over for journeys to and from the Orkney Islands, Sutherland and Caithness. We are close to Aviemore, Newtonmore, and Boat of Garten for Osprey watching, and the Cairngorm Mountain Range. This area is extremely popular for winter sports. There are numerous dining and entertainment establishments (some also dog friendly), serving fresh Highland produce, along with local craft and gift shops, within walking distance of the hotel.
