Nomad Travel

Paul Goodyer, Nomad Founder and CEO, set off at just 17 on his first independent trip across Europe and into Northern Africa. He was away for ten months encountering some of the first overland companies and experiencing life with indigenous tribes. During this and subsequent extensive journeys through Africa and the Middle East, he learnt the pitfalls of being inadequately equipped and the misery of ill health whilst travelling. Nomad began on a market stall in Reading and has now grown to 10 stores all across the UK and our full offering showcased on this website.

Nomad shops are staffed with travel experts who are extensively trained to ensure our customers leave fully prepared for whichever adventure they have planned. With a product range overseen by our Founder Paul Goodyer, we know we have the right gear in our branches and on our website for every eventuality whether our customers are heading into murky Jungle or trekking across the harsh desert.
