Nicola's Childcare

I aim to provide a safe, healthy, happy and caring environment where the interests of the children are of the utmost importance. This is all within the guidelines of 'Early Years Foundation Stage' for the 0-5 year olds and the Welfare Requirements of the Childcare Register for older children.

I have been a Registered Childminder since May 1995. I am registered to care for 6 children under the age of 8, of whom no more than 3 of these can be under 5 years old with no more than 2 of these being under 1 year old. I also care for children up to the age of 14 before & after school Being an Accredited Childminder means that I am able to offer the Free Early Years Entitlement to children who qualify, plus 2 year old's who are eligible for funding.

My husband, Ian, is also registered as my assistant, this is primarily for example, to help when I have an early evening training course, a doctors appointment and sometimes with school pick ups.

I am a member of the Horsham Children Come First Childminding Network, a Support Minder, helping newly registered childminders and a member of Horsham & District Childminding Association. I have previously been a member of the National Policy Forum of the National Childminding Association.
