My love of horticulture started at a very young age. Growing up on a croft in the Outer Hebrides and due to the lack of trees or shrubs growing there, I became fascinated with them.
The minute I was old enough, I left home to learn the trade.
I trained with the National Trust For Scotland in their Gardeners Training Scheme, working in properties such as Brodick Castle, Arran and Torosay Castle on the Isle of Mull. I then went on to obtain my Horticulture qualifications at Elmwood College, Cupar.
I have worked with major landscaping companies in Edinburgh both in private gardens and public sites before turning self-employed over
nineteen years ago.
Over the years I have had clients including J.K.Rowling, Steven Jardine, Lindsay Hamilton and David Dunsmuir (manager of the Royal Highland Show).
