On the 4th & 5th of October 2011, British Gas’s showcase home, a newly refurbished unit on the ground floor of the world renowned BRE Victorian terrace demonstration project in Watford opened its doors to the public during the insite11 refurbishment conference.
MTwo Building Services entered into a joint venture with British Gas, Mears and Travis Perkins to transform one unit of its former stable block into an exemplar for low-energy retrofitting. The showcase home was refurbished in just five weeks and achieved a remarkable 60% improvement in energy efficiency.
