During my 4 years as a City and Guild apprentice I won Honda’s apprentice of the year twice. On qualifying as a fully trained motorcycle mechanic I was offered a job at Honda’s head office in Power Road in Chiswick.
There I worked for several years running courses for Honda on new models such as The Gold Wing and CBX 1000. I was also one of the first mechanics in the country to be qualified on the CX 500 & 650 Turbo which at the time both ground breaking machines.
