The garage would be required to carry out a FULL MOT on the vehicle. This may mean you could incur more bills as the garage could fail the car again & maybe charge you again too. Bringing the vehicle back to weonlymot means a 10-15 minute retest on your vehicle and your vehicle is only re-tested on the items it failed on.
We do NOT repair, service or maintain cars and for this reason, we have no vested interest in failing a vehicle in anticipation of being commissioned to carry out any work.
It is for this reason that you often see MOTs being advertised at heavily discounted prices. You may see "Phil and Grant under the Arches" doing £25 MOTs but the only way they can make a profit from this is by cutting corners or carrying out unnecessary repairs.
