For many companies especially those that trade online the visual aspect of their site is the only way in which clients can view the merchandise and for this reason the pictorial dimension is essential since it produces the opportunity for them to examine the product in detail in the comfort of their home or office where it's impossible to enjoy the tactile and tangible satisfaction of the shop or showroom.

But trading online is only as good as the website representing the company and an almost universal complaint I hear from web designers and e-commerce developers is that their clients rarely come up with the visual content they need to complete the website, especially photos.

One of the most problematic areas is that the images submitted are of poor quality and not representative of those products and services, often the reason for this is the client often opts to take their own photographs using a point and click camera or even their mobile or tablet.
