Mickledore Travel is based in Keswick at the heart of the English Lake District. We are one of the leading specialists in self guided walking and cycling holidays in the UK, and provide a friendly, professional and flexible service. We are walkers and cyclists ourselves, so it really matters to us that you have a good holiday. We are still a small business, with a lot of local knowledge, and personal enthusiasm for the outdoors. Mickledore began in 1997, and started by providing holidays in the Lakes for Dutch visitors. We’ve grown steadily since then, and now have customers from every corner of the world — and we’re very pleased that many of our customers return for more. (In 2011 we had our very first customer from 1997 book their second holiday!) Our aim is simple — we want you to enjoy our countryside as much as we do, then come back and explore a new area next year!
