Acupuncture is suitable for all ages, including babies, children and the elderly. It is a holistic treatment that can be used on its own or alongside conventional western medicine. Most conditions can be helped by acupuncture. Maria is happy to give individual advice on how acupuncture might help your particular condition.
Maria is a fully qualified, licensed acupuncturist and a member of the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC), practicing in Chelmsford and Maldon. She qualified in 2003 at the London College of Traditional Acupuncture (LCTA).
After completing 3 years of training, she then studied for a further year to complete her BSc(Hons) Acupuncture Degree. After qualifying, Maria gained further experience at the Hangzhou Hospital in China.
As an acupuncture practitioner, Maria continues to advance her skills by attending post graduate training in areas such as Advanced Needling Skills, treating pain using Dr. Tan’s Balance Method and Nogier’s Auricular Therapy (ear acupuncture). She has also received post-graduate training in Fertility Acupuncture and Pregnancy Acupuncture.
Maria’s interest in Fertility Acupuncture was a direct result of the number of men and women seeking treatment for help to either conceive naturally or for supportive treatment whilst undergoing IVF or other fertility procedures.
