Maria Marshall is an award winning florist in Rugby creating bespoke floral designs for weddings, funerals, events and corporate clients. Our vision is a statement of our profound love of flowers.

For twenty years I was a paralegal in London but I had spent years dreaming of being a florist. During yet another dull Monday morning commute, it dawned on me that I had another 27 years until I could retire. I suddenly thought “what am I doing with my life?”. The fear was not of taking a risk to pursue my dream but the fear of not taking the risk and regretting it in years to come. After some thought and planning on how I could achieve my dream, I put my flat in Leighton Buzzard on the market, made plans to move back to my home town of Rugby and enrolled at Moreton Morrell College.

I am now fully qualified and have spent two years working in busy retail florists. I have also recently started competing and came second in the World Skills 2018 Midlands heat.

My passion for design using flower and plant material means it comes before almost everything else, but if you love what you do it’s not like work!
