Complementary therapies are becoming more and more relevant in today's world. So much of our life is taken over by the everyday challenges of living in the 21st century and at times these demands are hard for our body to deal with. As the results of today's living impacts on our body, it damages our body's remarkable process which enables it to heal and renew itself. Symptoms of the breakdown of this process can be physical, emotional or spiritual. MARA offer the following therapies.
Mara Therapies is the result of four years studying and training to develop knowledge of therapies which complement mainstream healthcare. The majority of this training was at Glyndwr University, Wrexham. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science Honours Degree in Complementary Therapies for Healthcare with the core therapies of massage, reflexology and aromatherapy all studied to a clinical and evidence based level.
Having had a career previously within a stressful commercial working environment I decided to continue to train focusing on positive touch, relaxation and stress relief. I am now a Massage In School Instructor, and Impact Wellbeing Instructor. Additionally I volunteer with the British Red Cross as a Therapeutic Carer.
