Maestoso Music was founded in 2002 by Paul Gregory. As a professional guitarist and teacher, Paul realised the poor choice of classical guitars available to his students. Unbelievably, they owned guitars with poor sound, inaccurate intonation and awkward actions! In quite a small way, Paul imported some guitars from Spain. He visited makers and discussed in detail how the construction might be improved. Following an introduction through master luther Stephen Frith, Paul gained exclusive import rights of two well known Spanish makers. Maestoso grew and continued supplying to more retail shops throughout the UK. Maestoso Music now has exclusive import rights of some of the very best makers such as Juan Hernandez, Paco Castillo, Altamira, Jose Antonio and the famous hand made strings by Luthier Corp. New York. The company aims to provide the best possible quality musical instruments within each price bracket with personal care and attention to detail.
