Inverness has always been known as the capital of the Highlands of Scotland, being an important commercial, administrative and communications centre. It is a popular tourist destination for its own attractions and as a centre for touring the remainder of the Highlands. The City's name means that it is at the mouth of the River Ness and it is situated only 7 miles away from the North end of Loch Ness, the home of the famous Loch Ness monster.
Established in 1967, MacArthur & Co. took over much of the business of the former firm of Stewart Rule & Co., which had previously operated in Inverness for over 100 years. Our business aim has traditionally been to provide a high quality legal service whilst maintaining a friendly personal family Solicitor approach or a commercially assertive approach as appropriate. Our office is situated at 7 Ardross Street, Inverness, on the west side of the River Ness, opposite Inverness Cathedral and just a few hundred metres from the headquarters of The Highland Council.
We provide a wide range of legal services and on the occasion when we cannot personally assist we can refer people to other specialist firms either within or outwith the area. Our office is open Monday to Friday 9a.m. to 1p.m. and 2p.m. to 5p.m. Between 1pm and 2pm the telephone will normally be answered. Outwith these hours you may well find that the telephone will still be answered, probably by a Solicitor.
