I studied piano and 'cello at the Royal Academy of Music and then obtained my Post-Graduate music teaching qualification at Durham University. My career began in the maintained sector, teaching music and leading extra-curricular musical activities to 11 - 16 year olds at Chellaston School, Derbyshire.
Having recently arrived in Ripon, I am looking forward to sharing my proven expertise & experience with pupils of all ages in the local area. If you are interested in lessons for yourself or your children, why not arrange to meet me & explore the opportunities available. Further plans include the teaching of fun, pre-school music to small groups.
This will be of particular interest to parents of children who will go on to learn a musical instrument. Courses will introduce simple music literacy before the children take on the delights and physical challenges of learning to play an instrument.
