It is more than just design-led fair trade. We are helping some artisan groups set up from scratch. Using fair trade principles to build sustainable businesses. That takes time, money and effort. Unfortunately, those suppliers are often in the developing world and can't afford to be short-changed. So while the richest companies keep getting richer, the World Bank estimates that two billion people still live in abject poverty.
