Lisa Devlin Childminding Service

My name is Lisa Devlin and I'm an Ofsted registered childminder. I thought I would take this opportunity to tell you about myself and my family. Firstly, I studied nursery nursing in Widnes in Cheshire - my home town - and when I qualified I became a nanny to a lovely boy. After a year it was time for Sarath to start nursery, and luckily for me there was a vacancy for a nursery nurse as well. So we both started at Haltys Den day nursery together. It was a lovely nursery on the grounds of Halton hospital in Runcorn and I really enjoyed my time there. My role involved teaching pre-school work to 3 and 4 year olds as well as many other duties involved in the day to day running of a very busy nursery. After a while I decided to travel and I spent a year in Connecticut in America working as an Au-Pair to a family with four children: 6 month old twins, a 3 year old and a 4 year old. As you can imagine I was far too busy to get homesick!
