Following seven years in the motor industry, where she rose to Property Services Manager, she moved to the retail sector and became an Executive Board Director of James Beattie PLC with responsibility for Development and Planning. In this role she delivered the expansion of the firm's stores from six to twelve in a ten year period with a doubling of retail space to over one million square feet. This involved responsibility for all aspects of the property portfolio from acquisition, disposals, design, fit-out, to property & facilities management.
Recent appointments in the FE sector include the project sponsor/client representative role for the Ј60m. Shrewsbury Colocation Project, and that of client advisor to the Ј85m Bournville College Relocation Project within the Longbridge Area Action Plan development in Birmingham.
She is also affiliated to Emprima Ltd, a Solihull based specialist construction consultancy firm, as Design and Planning Director.
