Finding the time to do this can be difficult, especially when there are so many websites with so much information to read. My website is designed to give you detailed information without taking up a lot of your time. I first became interested in pursuing counselling as a career in the late 90s after having my own personal therapy which helped me to address some difficult issues. As someone who has received and provided person centred counselling I can see from a personal and professional level the benefits this way of working can bring. In 2002 I completed an introductory counselling certificate and a level two certificate course in counselling skills and studies. In 2006 I qualified as counsellor/psychotherapist when I awarded my BACP accredited Diploma in Person Centred Counselling and Psychotherapy from the University of Warwick.

During my Diploma I worked as a volunteer counsellor for a number of organisations including Cruse Bereavement Care, Terrence Higgins Trust, Freshwinds Birmingham, Relate and a number of educational establishments in Coventry. After qualifying I continued to volunteer, and gained considerable experience, and in 2007 I started to provide private counselling.
