Leamington Spa Shopmobility is run by Warwick District Mobility Ltd, which is a charity governed by a Board of Trustees. Royal Leamington Spa Town Council can appoint two councillors to our Board, and Warwick District Council can appoint one. Other trustees are elected by members of the charity at the Annual General Meeting. Anyone who joins Leamington Spa Shopmobility as a yearly member can opt to become a member of the charity.
We are mainly funded by a grant from Royal Leamington Spa Town Council, and our shop unit is provided by Royal Priors Shopping. We also receive donations from local fund-raising organisations and members of the public. We sell a small number of mobility-related items, and the income raised helps to keep our service going.
Our friendly staff are here to help.
If you have any questions about our service and what we might be able to do for you, please do get in touch. We rely on a few volunteers to cover lunchtimes at the shop and to help publicise our service. Some of our volunteers are wheelchair or scooter users themselves. If you are interested in helping us, we would love to hear from you!
