I am passionate about the work I do and the people I see as a Counselling Psychologist. I enjoy working collaboratively with clients, to understand their difficulties from their perspective so that I can tailor therapy treatment to suit each unique individual.

To help us in our role as your surveyor, we use a software called Psychnav, which may be seen as a satnav for psychology: it displays the results from our surveys and sessions on a grid, to show where your problems are located.

We find that people's problems often have many levels: anxiety and depression may have a biological root in genetic susceptibility, which can be helped by dietary changes. It may have roots in internal conflicts between different sides of yourself. It may have a lot to do with your personal beliefs and habits. You may have relationship difficulties, or you may be living and working in a difficult social environment. So, a complete solution may include medical, psychological, interpersonal and social components.

We see our role as not just to offer you psychological therapy, but to provide you with insight into the structure of the difficulties you face, so you can find solutions not just in therapy, but also in other modalities of your life. With such insight, we hope that it will become more of a skill for you in recognising and formulating your own difficulties so that in the future, you will be quicker to recognise and faster to resolve any difficulties you face.
