Kings Road Nursery School opened in 1977 and serves the immediate areas of Tullycarnet, Dundonald and Gilnahirk. It is well equipped inside and out. The school has two main play rooms and operates an open planned approach where the children are free to move purposefully between the two rooms accessing a wide range of learning opportunities. There is a large Sun Room which is floored with safety surface. This facilitates physical play on a daily basis, irrespective of the weather outside.

It is used for music and drama and lends itself well to group play. Outdoors there is a large enclosed garden area with plenty of grass and mature trees for the children to enjoy whilst developing physical skills and benefitting from the fresh air. The school is staffed by teachers and assistants, fully qualified and experienced in Nursery Education. We can accomodate 52 children with two full time sessions operating daily.
