King and Eastland’s core business is the re-upholstery of furniture, both antique and modern, but the company are also happy to accept commissions to build items of furniture from start to finish. Clients can involve themselves as much as they wish in the process- from the initial design concept to the all-important selection of fabrics and finishing touches. The business was established in 1981 by Alan King and Kevin Eastland, who between them have over 80 years experience in the Upholstery industry. Starting out as apprentices themselves to become master craftsmen in the furnishing industry their roots are set in traditional methods, tools, materials and standards. Over thirty years on, the aim of the business remains to provide top quality, professional craftsmanship for all types of furnishings, both traditional and contemporary at the right price. And if you need inspiration, there’s a wide range of fabric samples from Sanderson, Jab, Kirkby Design, Linwood, Harlequin, Villa Nova, Jim Dickens, Wemyss and many more for you to browse in comfort in the bright, natural lighting of the spacious showroom. On display you are sure to find the best designs amongst the extensive range of exquisite fabrics, and you may borrow samples to appraise in your own home or you can arrange a visit from us.
