When asked by the career's advisor at school 'what do you want to be?' I replied 'a photographer'. It was at this young age that my journey into photography began and my passion for it has grown and grown ever since. Since then I have constantly been pushing myself, striving to be better and trying to learn something new everyday.
After studying A'level photography at school I went into the printing industry working as a reprographic artist working on such titles as Instyle, Time, NME, Amateur Photographer, Horse & Hound, Country Homes & Interiors and The Guardian & Observer weekend supplements to name a few.
During this time, myself and my wife Tamsyn, were living in London and it was the birth of our first daughter, Thalia, that got me wanting to leave this industry and focus on professional photography. She inspired us to leave our home in London and move back to Tamsyn's native and beloved Cornwall.
In June 2007 we created 'Khalile Siddiqui Photography' and isince then, the business has gone from strength to strength. Our work has been featured in 'Brides in Cornwall Magazine', 'WED Magazine' and 'South West Brides Magazine' as well as on 'The Wedding Show' on Wedding TV and in 2011 & 2012 we won 'The Designer Wedding Photographer Of The Year' at the West Country Wedding Awards.
Since living in Cornwall our family has grown with the addition of a second daughter, Sienna and our son, Quais and being a father of three means I relish working on baby and family portraits and also underwater photography.
In having a large family and living in this beautiful part of the world, I have realised the importance of trying to reduce our impact on the planet so we endeavour to keep the business as 'green' as possible. We have attended the Green Foundation course at The Eden Project, we print all of our fliers on FSC certified paper using only vegetable inks and we also give monthly donations to Greenpeace.
