My answer is simple - I absolutely love it when I have treated a client and they tell me that after treatment they are feeling so much better and their pain has diminished! What a satisfying feeling that is! The reason for this is that the body has a natural ability to self heal itself and acupuncture just speeds up that process.
My background is in Art and I studied Fashion Design gaining a BA Hons in London before working in Theatre Costume Design. I have always been interested in design alongside working with people so an introduction to Henna Body Art in the early nineties led to forming a Body Art company in Brighton where I also added Body Piercing to my repertoire. Working closely with people and making them feel good about themselves moved me to look at Complementary Medicine and whilst practising Mehndi Design I discovered many other alternative Health treatments including Reiki.
I discovered Acupuncture after suffering from a lower back issue that came about from having my first child and found it to be instantly effective! I was then eventually in a position to study the ancient treatment myself and am now overjoyed to be able to offer Acupuncture in my clinic at home in Keswick alongside guest accommodation in this beautiful Lake District setting.
