Chinese medicine lays great emphasis on the coexistence of body and mind and their influence on each other. Many diseases are caused or affected by our state of mind. Emotional stress disturbs the flow of qi causing dysfunctions in our body. If untreated or mistreated, the problem will progressively lead to structural damages.
I practice TEAM (Traditional East Asian Medicine), using a combination of the classical Five Element and more modern, TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) theories, to diagnose and treat disease. I have been brought up in a household where Acupuncture has been practised for generations, and subsequently gained a BSc in Traditional Chinese Medicine at Lincoln University. I have completed my extensive postgraduate training with modern master Jong Baik. I am also a trustee member of Moxafrica, working with high profile practitioners across Europe, East Asia, the US and Africa. Moxafrica is currently running extensive research into moxabustion protocols for Tb in Africa.
