Judith Waring

I am a Psychotherapist in York registered in 2000 with the UKCP (UK Council for Psychotherapy) and accredited in 1991 as a Counsellor with the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy). I offer short and long term psychotherapy, counselling and supervision. I have been working in private practice as a Psychotherapist for 14 years and as a Counsellor for 24 years.

I see clients from all walks of life and all backgrounds. Emotional distress, stress and mental health issues can effect any and all of us. Each year one in four adults will experience a mild to moderate mental health problem. This can be the result of sudden unexpected events, planned transitions or from early trauma resurfacing when current life events trigger past experiences and memories. It is during these difficult times that clients may seek professional help from a counselling service or psychotherapist in order to make sense of their emotional distress.
