John Denaro Artist

This is a one day workshop in which professional artist John Denaro guides students through the process of creating a large self portrait in charcoal & pastel. The workshop is now in its twenty-second year and has been held in over one hundred schools across the country. In many schools it has become an annual event. Since 1992 John has worked with thousands of children and young people from a wide range of age and ability, and is adept at fine tuning his teaching to the needs of the individual.

The workshop offers students of all abilities an oppurtunity to develop new levels of skill and confidence. As I was getting halfway through it, it looked like it was starting to come to life. I think I shall never forget that day because I produced something I thought I could never do and I am very proud of it.
