I have always loved music and I can remember wanting to learn the piano from a very young age. I started having piano lessons aged 6 years.
At aged 17, I took up the flute and took my grade 8 after only 18 months of learning. I went to London to study music at the London College of Music with flute as my first study and piano as my second study. I studied flute with Ann Cherry and piano with Chris Fry and after 3 years of studying, I achieved two diplomas and a degree in music.
I have 30 years’ experience of teaching music from my home and 15 years’ experience teaching woodwind and piano in schools. I have taught in primary, middle and secondary schools.
My love of music also includes playing and teaching saxophone and the clarinet. I also love to sing and was a member of the Bournemouth Symphony Chorus for 17 years. I am currently a member of the Bournemouth Bach Choir.
