Jim Bell qualified as a Chartered Accountant and was admitted a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland in 1978.
After gaining further general audit and taxation experience with a firm of Chartered Accountants in Glasgow, Jim joined the Stakis Organisation where he worked closely with companies in the licensed trade and leisure industries.
After a short spell in manufacturing, he returned to private accountancy practice, and established James Bell & Co in 1991.
